Cosmin-Marius Ivașcu

Dr. Cosmin-Marius Ivașcu, is currently working as Assistant professor at the Department of Biology-Chemistry, Faculty of Chemistry, Biology, Geography, West University of Timișoara, Romania. PhD in Biology in 2018 at the Faculty of Biology and Geography, Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania, with the thesis Traditional ecological knowledge and bio-cultural adaptations in Ieud village,an ancient settlement from the land of Maramures.  He was a visiting researcher at Kassel University in Germany, Department of Landscape and Vegetation Ecology in 2019. His research focuses on traditional ecological knowledge (TEK) and the bio-cultural heritage of cultural landscapes with remarkable biodiversity, nature conservation, traditional agro-silvo-pastoral practices and ethnobiology in the Carpathians.
