Urszula Iwaszczuk
She is an archaeozoologist who has been researching animal bone remains from archaeological sites since 2001. Initially, she focused on sites in Poland, but since 2008, she has expanded her research to include sites in Egypt, Sudan, Kuwait, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Cyprus, and Russia. She collaborates with archaeologists and specialists involved in genetic, isotopic, and archaeobotanical research. She has served as the principal investigator (PI) in two grant projects funded by the National Science Centre and as a co-investigator in seven other grants. Since 2015, she has been building a collection of fish, mammal, and bird skeletons, as well as mollusc shells.
