Joerg Baten
Joerg Baten is Professor of Economic History at the University of Tübingen. He is a CEPR Fellow and CESifo Fellow, Member of the Academia Europaea, Co-editor-in-Chief of the journal “Economics and Human Biology”. His research interests span topics such as identifying long-term welfare using archaeological evidence, mapping health development and growth of economies worldwide. His 94 refereed journal contributions have been published in interdisciplinary and economics journals. Nine books/edited volumes include A History of the Global Economy: 1500 to the Present).
